3 Steps To Get YOU On Your List

Have you had enough of not enough “you time”? As women you are so good at taking care of others, it’s what you do, but what about you? Who is taking care of you? Who is making sure you get food, clothes, fun activities, naps? Well that would be you, but have you noticed it’s not happening? What is it about committing to you that is so “hard”, not important kind of wrong? Somehow there is this internal barometer that says ooh, selfish to need time, not supposed to, just keep going, work, get it done, there’s more to do…But how does that make you feel, depleted, irritated and pissy? It gets compounded when no one’s noticing you aren’t getting your needs met, unconsciously resentful at those around you who aren’t getting how much you’re doing for them! 3 Steps to Getting YOU Onto Your List

1. Decide you deserve to be on the list, it’s easy to say you aren’t that important, it doesn’t really matter, you will get to you… decide it does matter. Consider this quote excerpted from the return to love, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?”  Value you, as you do your child, your mate, your best friend…

2. Make a list of 10 activities you need to feel good, this will be hard, you may not know. Take time to explore what you used to like to do… take a walk, sit and meditate, take a bath, read inspirational readings, run, dance… Start the list, it will come.

3. Schedule them into your calender “if it’s not scheduled it doesn’t get done“.~  Now that you have the list, start to incorporate them into your daily life, it will begin to be a habit.
